Department Profile

The Department of Computer Applications was established in the year 2012. Mrs. P. Vasanthi is the first Head of the Department. There are 5 staff members working in the department. All the staff members are UGC Qualified (NET/SET/Ph.D) holders . Our staff members are actively involved in the research work and published nearly 50 research papers in reputed peer reviewed national and international journals. The Staff members of the Department have served as members of the organizing committee of our Association namely ASCA (Association of Computer Applications) and members of the editorial board of various research journals. Every year the department conducts ASCA Orientation/Workshop for the benefit of our Department Students. University Rank holders, Individual Subject Toppers, Sports Acheivers are honoured by the Association. Students are provided opportunities to participate in various State & National Level Intercollegiate Competitons to enrich their skills.

To adhere to the motto of the Department "Professional Excellence", the Training and Placement Cell of the College helped to place our students in various MNCs. The companies like Palnar Transmedia Private Limited and Tata Consultancy Services prefer to provide placement to our students for their values and professional commitment. The sanctioned strength for department is 48. Admissions will be made as per State Government Guidelines. The objective of the department is to promote quality and value based education by motivating the skills of students and creating awareness on the future trends of industry.
